About the Google SERP preview
Before publishing a page, seeing exactly how its title and meta description will appear in Google's search results goes a long way toward improving click-through rate. A title or description that's too long gets cut off mid-sentence with an ellipsis, and the page's main message never reaches the user. Abzario's SERP preview tool takes your title, page URL and meta description and displays a card that closely resembles a real Google result, while counting the length of each field live. If the title is between 30 and 60 characters and the description is between 70 and 160 characters, the tool marks them with a checkmark to show you're in the safe range. This tool pairs well with the meta tag generator; it's usually best to write your copy in the meta tag tool first, then check the final result in the preview here.
How to use it
- 1Enter the title, URL, and description.
- 2View the preview.
- 3Adjust the lengths until they fit the recommended range.
Why use this tool?
- Accurately simulates how title, URL and description look in Google search results
- Live character counter for title and description with a clear good/bad status marker
- Shows exactly which part of the text gets truncated if it exceeds the character limit
- Numeric guidance for the recommended range for title (30–60) and description (70–160)
- Helps you write a title and description that's both compelling and fully displayed
- No need to actually publish a page to test how it will look in Google results
Worked examples
A title that's too long
An 80-character title is shown truncated with an ellipsis at the end in the preview, e.g. "The Complete Guide to Buying a Laptop for Students and…", hiding the ending from the user.
A description in the safe range
A 120-character description with the main keyword near the start displays fully in the preview, and the tool marks its length with a green checkmark.
Checking the displayed URL
The entered address, such as https://example.com/tools/percentage-calculator, appears above the title exactly as Google shows it, letting you confirm the path isn't too long or complex.
Comparing two title versions
You can enter a title and check its length, then shorten it and check again to see whether it now falls within the 30–60 character range.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't Google show my description?
Google sometimes replaces the meta description with text pulled from the page, depending on the search query.
What's a safe title length?
Under 60 characters is usually displayed in full.
Why does this preview differ slightly from the real Google result?
Google sometimes adjusts the actual displayed length slightly depending on the user's device (mobile or desktop) and query type; this tool reflects the standard average range, not a fixed, guaranteed rule.
Is it a problem if my description is shorter than 70 characters?
There's no technical problem, but you're not making full use of the space Google offers, and you might not convey enough information to convince the user to click.
Do Persian characters count the same as English characters for title length?
The tool counts character count, not actual pixel width; since Persian letters are usually narrower than Latin ones, you can sometimes write slightly more than the suggested limit, but staying within the safe range is still best.
Why does Google sometimes ignore my meta description?
Depending on the user's search query, Google may show a snippet pulled from the page's own text instead of the meta description, to make the result look more relevant to that specific search.
